Being an Intern at Rogue Creative Development
Interning at Rogue has definitely been one of the most rewarding and fun experiences I’ve had this quarter. If you are expecting a very structured, typical office job, this internship is not for you. Interning at Rogue is experiencing what Rogue stands for: creativity, community, and passion.
What I love about interning here is that you are encouraged to think creatively, as well as independently. You are surrounded by a great team of creatives who each specialize in their own areas, so there’s always something new to learn from each person. A big part of this internship is learning from others and also learning by doing. Most tasks that interns are assigned to are not step-by-step instructions, so you really have to be comfortable with taking initiative! I personally enjoyed being challenged with different tasks, because you get to learn what works and what doesn’t. The most rewarding feeling is being given creative control over a task and your work showing positive results. There’s an empowering feeling of being trusted and believed in as an intern that makes every day of this internship worth it.
Another GREAT part of this internship is that Rogue is a pet-friendly environment. Seeing Midge and Pickle when I walk through the door means I always start the day off in a good mood. Overall, the office environment is very easygoing and friendly.
Whether it’s laughing over memes or going out for team lunches, being an intern at Rogue allows you to feel part of a community of incredibly kind and funny individuals.
