Caring for Your Clients with Aubree
This month on the Rogue Experts IGTV series, Project Manager Aubree shares the importance of client relations and “CARE.”
What do you do as a Project Manager?
As Project Manager, I organize the projects between you and our team of creatives. Every Monday, I review that week’s priorities with each team member and see if anyone needs clarity from you.
During the week, I check in to see the status of projects so every deadline is met. Meanwhile, I keep you in the loop!
Before I started this role, I assumed it was all task organizing. Although that is a huge part of my job, I also focus a lot on client relationships. It is very important to treat clients as people, not work. I want you to see the product you envisioned.
How often do you communicate with clients?
I communicate with clients daily through email, phone, and Zoom. If we are working on a big project or social media campaign, I typically connect with clients multiple times a day.
It is important that I help you feel included and updated throughout the whole project. This not only helps with organizing the project but creating trust between us. If you have ongoing weekly or daily projects, I schedule check-in meetings to review the upcoming week and make note of any new requests.
What are the most important values you explain to clients about their in-process projects?
We develop projects on three key values!
Ask questions! We want you to feel involved and comfortable, so ask any questions that can help clear up any confusion.
Give us honest feedback! When we send over the project for the first round of revisions, we aren’t asking for praise or a pat on the back–although we do appreciate it! We want honest feedback and edits. You are always safe voicing your concerns with us. At the end of the day, it only makes the end product better!
Let’s do this process TOGETHER! Although we’re creating the project, this is still your story. We want you to be involved in the beginning, middle and end of how we tell your story.
When a client wants to start a new project or change an old one, which steps do you take with your team?
Every timeline and process is specific to you and your needs. If you want to start a new project with us, we first meet as a team to discuss it, brainstorm and really dive deep into every aspect of the potential project.
Next, we meet with you to both ask and answer questions. We break down specific needs and details and develop a timeline so we can truly prepare and create the right story!
