Meet the Team: JD, Aerial Cinematography Producer
Each week at Rogue, we challenge our employees to teach the team something new! We create PowerPoints and Keynotes to share a lesson of some kind (ANY kind) during our weekly team meetings. We’ve learned A LOT–how to draw Baby Yoda, how to roast a whole chicken, how to care for plants, how to communicate to others better, how to IVF… and so many more random topics.
For our latest lesson series, each team member was randomly assigned a coworker. Then, they had to interview them and present their job and skills to the group! In doing so, we could get to know our team even better.
Our Project Manager Aubree went ABOVE AND BEYOND, y’all! She interviewed Aerial Cinematographer Producer JD. Watch her awesome video above, with some commentary from Aubree below!
Aubree’s big goal? Create something that matches and depicts both JD’s role at Rogue and his big personality. Of course, a video just makes sense! She gathered her tools: JD’s voiceover from their interview, video footage he’s worked on, as well as other fun clips and graphics to show his personality, and just the right music.
She had a big idea too: create a crime show-themed video with her own footage including suspenseful music and an awesome walk-up intro. With a little inspo from YouTube clips of shows like CSI, her own investigation of JD’s old Facebook photos, and what she describes as a “basic knowledge of Premier,” her video took off.
After a long night of editing, BOOM. A masterpiece. Aubree had a chance to step outside of her usual “Project Manager” role, show off her videography skills, and develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for JD!
