Right here in Orange County: An Orangewood Foundation Campaign
End-of-year donations are critical for nonprofits to start the New Year strong. For Orangewood Foundation, a nonprofit that provides health & wellness, housing, life skills & employment, and education services for young adults in Orange County, winter 2024 was an opportunity to raise money AND clarify some misconceptions about homelessness.
From Giving Tuesday (the Tuesday following Thanksgiving) through Christmas, Orangewood’s Right Here in Orange County campaign calls attention to the issues and statistics happening in donors’ very own community.
Video Series
Each week, an Orangewood team member introduced the realities local young adults experience before calling their audience into action. The approach? Understanding, relatable, honest, and inspiring.
Viewers were encouraged to fuel Orangewood’s work and spark positive change for their neighbors, right here in Orange County.
Newsletters
In tandem with the video series, weekly newsletters shined light on unique challenges and statistics for young adults in Orange County – the high rate of young adults facing homelessness, the competitive rental market, the risk factors associated with homelessness, and more – before highlighting Orangewood’s initiatives that address these challenges.
