Rogue Creative Development's 2017 Recap
The end of the year is such an opportune time to take a look back and celebrate the amazing things that happened in the 12 months prior. At Rogue Creative Development, we were truly blessed with an amazing journey this year as well as some exciting and unexpected developments!
While 2017 was our second year in business, we got to begin the year by helping one of our very first clients, BRASA Rotisserie, to open their brand new restaurant in Santa Ana! We worked with BRASA on everything from branding to web design to menu and restaurant design and promotional events before they opened. This year, we continued getting the word out about their amazing food through social media, managing their website, creating some fun video content and updating their seasonal menus. (If you haven’t been to BRASA, you haven’t had the best rotisserie chicken in the world!)
February also brought us the opportunity to work with one of my favorite non-profit organizations, LOT318! LOT318 is an amazing organization I’ve worked with since its inception. They work with those who have little to show them how great they can be and have changed the courses of countless lives! When they approached us about a rebrand, we jumped at the opportunity to work with them and help bring others into the LOT318 story.
Speaking of non-profits, we also had the chance to do some web design and photography for Guardians of the Children. We also continued our long-standing relationship with CASA of Orange County by designing their end of the year appeal as well as their annual report for 2017.
On top of all of that, we produced some great social media videos for NOOMA (a coconut water based sports drink), created video and photographic content for Jeffrey Court tile, created a product video for ONA Bags, launched my side project (mattbarnesonline.com), produced the “It Might Be #Time2MoveOn” and “Bros Before Rose” podcasts, and ended the year with signing Jeffrey Court and GSS to our Social Media Membership Plans! (We’ll also be rebranding GSS as well as providing photography services and developing a brand new website!)
But, the biggest news of 2017 was our entry into professional aerial cinematography with the launch of our sister company, Rogue Aviation! Rogue Aviation is a brand-new helicopter flight school and flight-services company out of John Wayne Airport. We’ve partnered with them to provide aerial video services using their helicopters and our GSS gimbal, RED Weapon 8K camera and Angenieux Optimo lens! (We also provide web, video, photography and social media services for Rogue Aviation. It really is the perfect partnership!)
Oh yeah… and in September, Stacy and I welcomed our twins, McCoy Kobayashi and Violet Maru, into our family! (You can meet them at finallybarnes.com and follow them on IG @thosebarnestwins!)
So… that was 2017! We’ve got some really great stuff planned for 2018 that we can hardly wait to share with you! Thanks for following along as our story continues to unfold. And, don’t forget… YOU have a story that deserves to be told! If you need someone to tell it, hit us up… it’s what we love to do!
Happy New Year!!!
