United to End Homelessness Video Series
We started a big video series for a great cause last fall! When Orange County United Way contacted us to help with their United to End Homelessness Campaign, we definitely had to jump on board.
From now through the end of 2019, we’ll be working with OCUW to capture 24 amazing stories of people who have experienced homelessness. Each video introduces a new person and really humanizes the struggles of the homeless community. You can watch some of these videos here!
OCUW is our local branch of United Way, a nationwide organization focused on improving the quality of life within the community’s “building blocks for a good life–quality education, a sustainable income, better health and stable housing.” Our branch hopes to bring OC’s homeless population to functional zero by 2024 while spreading awareness to homelessness and educating the community.
United Way launched their United to End Homelessness campaign in March 2018 and has brought together community leaders to engage all aspects of the county, from faith-based groups, nonprofits, businesses, local governments and more. Residents are encouraged to attend United Way’s Homelessness 101 courses and volunteer.
